We left Williams, very early, to catch our first sight of the Grand Canyon… by helicopter! A handsome grazing elk greeted us at the airport gates. An early morning flight meant a smoother ride apparently (jolly good). The whole experience was totally thrilling, a smile never left my face. Spectacular and magnificent Canyon views unveiled

We return to the Grand Canyon. This final visit, we’re on the higher, cooler and greener North side rim. Our stay for two nights is a wooden lodge in the wilderness (okay it was near a huge visitor centre, gift shop and fancy restaurants), with a view down into the Grand Canyon. Beautiful and peaceful.
