DATES: Friday 11th August to Sunday 10th September 2017

NEW YORK | NIAGRA FALLS |  YELLOWSTONE | ECLIPSE: Our journey starts in New York City with an up-state tour finishing at Niagara Falls. We’ll then fly to Yellowstone National Park where we’ll stay a few nights before viewing the magnificent SOLAR ECLIPSE in the morning of 21st August at Jackson Hole airport – ‘totality’ will start at approx 11:35am USA time, 6:35pm UK time. The Moon’s shadow will be travelling at around 1700 mph and we should be in the dark for over 2 minutes at this location.

SAN FRANCISCO | CARMEL: One hour after the eclipse we fly to San Francisco, where we stay for 3 nights, followed by 3 nights in Carmel by-the-Sea exploring the Pacific coastline down to Big Sur.

YOSEMITE: After our West Coast road trip we head East inland through Yosemite National Park (staying there a couple of nights) and then on through Death Valley to stay just the other side of Vegas in Boulder City and a visit to Hoover Dam.

GRAND CANYON: We visit Williams for the night and the next morning is a trip up to Tusayan, just south of the Grand Canyon for a 40 minute early morning helicopter ride over the canyon, then spending the rest of day and night at the South Rim. Next day we set off to Monument Valley where we have a night in the View Hotel for (hopefully) great views on the desert night sky and the sunrise! Next we’re off to Antelope Canyon and an overnight stop in Page before heading back West via Horseshoe Bend, Marble Canyon to our two-night stop at the Grand Canyon North Rim Lodge.

LAS VEGAS | NEW YORK | GATWICK: We travel through Zion NP, with a stop over in Springdale and then spend 2 nights in Las Vegas before we head back to NYC for a home-bound connection, and a well deserved rest…
