We stayed our last two nights in the USA in the heart of Las Vegas, on the ‘Las Vegas Strip’ with themed hotel casinos, restaurants and gift shops as far as the eye can see.

Music, bright lights, showgirls, slot machines… Las Vegas is extraordinarily vibrant and entertaining. We went to see several landmark hotels including Caesars Palace, the most impressive Egyptian themed Luxor, the Venetian, New York, classy Mandalay Bay and Paris Las Vegas (complete with Eiffel Tower).

After quite a stroll from almost one end of the strip to the other, a treat for Mike – beer and burger refreshment at Hooters, served by gorgeous girls in very skimpy, bright orange shorts.

We started our USA grand tour in New York and ended in Las Vegas – two noisy, bustling and charismatic cities that never sleep, and that neither of us will forget.
