Golden Gate Park

We flew from Jackson Hole, stopping on route at Salt Lake City, to San Francisco, arriving 5pm at our last Airbnb stay; husbands John and Billy’s stylish home, where every wall and corner was crammed with art and sculpture.

Starting with a coffee across the road, junction of Waller and Fillmore (near Haight Street, the heart of San Fran’s trendy boho district) we walked up the hills and down the ‘Streets of San Francisco’ to the lovely and enormous Golden Gate Park with it’s own modern art gallery, boating lake, Japanese garden and carousel.

San Francisco has its own distinct, arty culture, it being the birthplace of ’67s Summer of Love. With a hippie vibe, homeless on street corners, eco wholefood stores, cannabis cafes, live music and colourful characters… it’s a busy, vibrant city.
